Biography:
Mr. Thompson’s practice is focused on complex construction litigation. Mr. Thompson’s experience includes representing architects, engineers, design professionals, and other construction industry participants in professional liability and construction-related disputes. His practice includes the defense of claims involving alleged design deficiencies, professional negligence, breach of contract, construction defects, and other complex construction and professional liability matters.
Mr. Thompson has more than 10 years of litigation experience representing clients in state and federal courts. He has experience handling matters through all stages of litigation, including pre-suit investigations, written discovery, depositions, expert discovery, dispositive motion practice, mediations, settlement negotiations, and trial. He also has significant experience analyzing complex factual and technical records, working with expert witnesses, assessing liability and damages, and developing litigation strategies tailored to his clients’ objectives.
Prior to joining Wright, Fulford, Moorhead & Brown, P.A., Mr. Thompson practiced commercial and business litigation, where he represented businesses and individuals in complex commercial disputes, including breach of contract, tortious interference, securities-related matters, and other business claims. Earlier in his career, Mr. Thompson served as an Assistant State Attorney for Florida’s Sixth Judicial Circuit, where he gained substantial courtroom and trial experience prosecuting felony and misdemeanor cases.
