Biography:
Mr. Moorhead’s practice is focused in the area of construction litigation. During his undergraduate studies Mr. Moorhead gained extensive knowledge in engineering principles and design, in the areas of hydraulics, transportation, utilities, structures, and materials testing. After completing his undergraduate studies and graduating cum laude, Mr. Moorhead was licensed as an Engineer Intern in the State of Florida. Mr. Moorhead began his professional career working as a project engineer in civil engineering, focusing in roadway drainage design, and general site development. While working in civil engineering, Mr. Moorhead became familiar with the industry standard software, including: ASAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoTURN, ICPR, GuideSIGN, and Microstation; design guidelines; and project development and administration. As a project engineer, Mr. Moorhead worked for clients including: the Department of Defense, Walt Disney World, the Florida Department of Transportation, and ABC Liquors, Inc. Additionally, Mr. Moorhead served as a member of the Florida Engineering Society’s Board of Directors for the 2016-2017 term.
During law school, Mr. Moorhead served in various roles within the Student Government Association including Senator and Attorney General before being appointed to the Student Supreme Court, where he served as an Associate Justice, and later Chief Justice. Additionally, Mr. Moorhead was a member of the FSU Law Co-Ed Softball Team, FSU Trial Team, and Student Bar Association.
